I just do hope, that the Bruce Conner exhibition in the MoMA somehow makes its way to Europe. There are so many great artists that somehow seem to have been lost in what we came to believe was the great american canon of art. “Cosmic Ray” is much more POP than Wahrhol ever managed to achieve with his films… And how did we somehow got lost on these discussions: that war and sexuality are deeply intertwined, is that so obvious today that we simply stopped talking about it? We can make a similar claim with terror and (male) sexuality:  There is plenty of discussion on the role of religion, but it’s always young males between 16 and 25, in the prime of their sexuality, hoping for virgins in the afterlife, because? They couldn’t get laid here on earth?

Anyway, Bruce Conner it is and their is an almost endless stream of short-films, that eventually would become MTV…
